About Pastor Reaves
While growing up in the church and being saved at an early age, the cares of life caused Gregory to drift away from the Lord. In the year 1993, Gregory returned to the Lord with the love for God and passion for His Word. Gregory joined JSCC under the tutelage of his uncle and Pastor, Overseer Mark M. Smith. At which time, Gregory was ordained as a Deacon in February of 1998. During this time, II Timothy 2:15 was the foundation for his walk with God. (II Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.)
Gregory answered the call to the Gospel Ministry and was ordained as an Elder on December 12, 1999. Subsequently, being elevated to Assistant Pastor, Gregory continued to grow spiritually and maintained this position in support of his Pastor. On August 28, 2018, Overseer Mark M. Smith, passed the mantle of Pastorate to Eld. Gregory and was officially installed on November 11, 2018. This ceremony was officiated by Overseer Mark M. Smith and Bishop Ronal H. Carter.

About Lady Tammy
Elder Tammy L. Carter-Reaves moved to East Canton, Ohio from Long Island, New York when she married her beloved, Elder Gregory B. Reaves. She received her Bachelor of Science degree for Elementary Education at S.U.N.Y College at Old Westbury and Master of Science degree in Special Education with a concentration on Literacy at Long Island University. But it was her Master of Divinity at New York Theological Seminary that helped mold her knowledge of the Word and the mission God bestowed for her ministry. Tammy completed 20 years of service as a New York State Certified teacher, now serving as an Adjunct professor promoting excellence with their best efforts at Malone University.
As an ordained Elder, wife and daughter of the Most High God, it is her distinct pleasure to work alongside her husband, Pastor Gregory B. Reaves as he the leads the members at Jesus Speaks Christian Center in Canton. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, vacationing on warm beaches and singing. Blessed to begin a new chapter of God’s plan, she is delighted to establish new relationships while stimulating a community with God’s love.
A God-Breathed Relationship
Pastor and Lady Reaves’ relationship began like one that was taken right out of the pages of a fairy tale. Upon meeting, they knew at first sight that they were to be together. They share that God’s timing is everything as it relates to their loving and powerful union and to being placed in the pastorate at the Jesus Speaks Christian Center. It’s their unwavering belief that they were meant to work in this ministry, together.
Lady Reaves says of their new position, that, “It’s been one journey after another! In one year, God has grown the church into a new-found community with a strong sense of family.”
Both agree that one of the reasons that the church has become effective as it is because of Pastor and Lady Reaves’ God-orchestrated personal connection and union, and because of their personal relationships with God.
Pastor and Lady Reaves have two adult daughters – Kamille who is in the Air Force and Brittany who is in the music industry. Both daughters support the Reaves whole-heartedly in their quest to help people “see Jesus.”
